St Margaret's Organ Recital

The recital on Friday 4 October at 12.30 pm is divided between Bach and Percy Whitlock. Christopher Rathbone, St Margaret's Director of Music, will play Bach's incomparable B minor Prelude and Fugue, and the early but brilliant D major.

In between there will be three of Whitlock’s ‘Sketches’ on verses from the psalms. He wrote 7 of these, in two volumes; here is book 2, sketches V, VI and VII, on verses from Psalms 23, 37 and 68.- all are typically charming.

All are welcome.

Entry is free with a retiring collection for St Margaret's Organ Restoration Fund.
