Clip 'n Climb in Ilkley’s Station Plaza is celebrating 10 years on Friday 25 July since open its doors and climbing walls!
Involved from the start, Sally and Richard Shelton [pictured below] became full owners around 3 years ago and Sally took on the manager role over eight years ago.

Sally and Richard have told Your Ilkley Radio about the last 10 years:
“From the start, our mission has been clear: to offer something fun, exciting and a little bit different for children and families and to do that from the heart of Ilkley. We wanted to create a space where kids could build confidence, challenge themselves, and most importantly — have a brilliant time doing it.
“Over the past 10 years, we’ve had the privilege of watching thousands of children take their first climbs, conquer their fears, and build incredible confidence. Some of the little ones who started with us in our early years are now teenagers — and a few even work with us now! That sense of growing up together and being part of something lasting means the world to us.
“As we look to the future, we’ll keep doing what we’ve always done — welcoming families, supporting our team, and providing a safe, fun, and inspiring space for kids to be active and try something new. Thank you to everyone who’s climbed, visited, cheered on from the café, or celebrated a birthday with us over the years. Here’s to the next 10 years of fun, fitness and family at Clip ‘n Climb Ilkley!”
During the summer holidays Clip ‘n Climb Ilkley is open every day, booking is available online, for further details visit the website: clipnclimbilkley.co.uk
