An Ilkley and Ben Rhydding District Councillor has revealed that Bradford Council's annual revenue from parking charges in Ilkley exceeded £1 million in the year 2024-25.
Cllr Andrew Loy submitted a question to Bradford Council at July's full council meeting, asking for the figures for the last five years from parking charges and fines, covering both car parks and street parking.
In a post to his Facebook page, Cllr Loy posted the response to his question which shows for the year 24-25, £954,000 income was generated from pay and display, and a further £177,000 from Penalty Charge Notice [fines] - a total in excess of £1.13 million.
