Organisers of The Yorkshire Invitational golfing event held in Ilkley have announced the legendary European golf figure, Colin Montgomerie OBE, will host next year.
SGH Events say the event will return to Ilkley Golf Club on the 16 and 17 September 2026 and Colin Montgomerie OBE brings a special connection to the area having spent most his childhood Ilkley Golf Club.
Through his lustrous career, Colin has 31 European Tour victories, eight European Tour Order of Merit titles and played in eight Ryder Cups, captaining Europe to victory in 2010.

After the resounding success of this year’s inaugural Celeb-Am, the Yorkshire Invitational once again gives you the opportunity to tee it up alongside sporting legends. Next year, leading the action will be team captains: Michael Vaughan OBE, Sir Gareth Southgate, and Zinzan Brooke, who will go head-to-head for the coveted title of the Yorkshire Invitational Celeb-Am Champion.
As well as attracting well-known golfers and celebrities, the Yorkshire Invitational offers a fantastic opportunity for business figures to connect and network in a stunning environment. The event has proven to be a fantastic opportunity for businesses to offer corporate incentives and team-building days, with unique sponsorship options including five hole-in-one competitions.

The first day consists of a morning Pro-Am where one golf professional plays with three amateurs and an afternoon Celeb-Am where three players will play with a sporting celebrity. On Thursday, the Pro-Am tournament sees one professional and three amateurs play where one golf professional will be crowned the Yorkshire Invitational champion.
If you would like to secure a team in this year’s Yorkshire Invitational or discuss sponsorship, please contact team@sgh.events.
