Community partnership supports Yorkshire Children’s Charity

The Lister Horsfall team will be selling drinks and limited-edition cowbells at Ilkley Cycle Races

Lister Horsfall, one of Ilkley’s most prestigious jewellers, has announced a community-driven collaboration with the organisers of the Ilkley Cycle Races to raise vital funds for Yorkshire Children’s Charity, a regional charity committed to transforming the lives of disadvantaged children across the county.

Charlotte Farrington, founder and chief executive of Yorkshire Children’s Charity said:

“We are incredibly grateful to Lister Horsfall for their support at the Ilkley Cycle Races. To be involved, once again, with an event that is such an important part of the Ilkley community is always a real point of pride for us as a charity.

"These fundraising efforts will help to support our many programmes – including our very own ‘Kids on Bikes’ initiative which provides children living in Yorkshire’s inner-city areas with cycling opportunities, enhancing their freedom and opportunities for learning, social activities, and employment.”

On race day, Friday 4th July 2025, Lister Horsfall will be running a stall on The Grove, selling drinks and limited-edition cowbells – a traditional and fun way to cheer on cyclists as they speed past. All proceeds will go to the charity. Meanwhile, the Ilkley Cycle Races team is organising a raffle with a luxury hamper up for grabs. The hamper, curated with goods donated by local businesses, will also be raising funds for the charity, with tickets available on the day of the races.

A spokesperson from Lister Horsfall said:

“We’re proud to be part of an event that brings the community together and even prouder to use this platform to support children who need it most.

“Yorkshire Children’s Charity is doing incredible work across our region, and we’re thrilled to contribute in a fun and meaningful way.”

The Ilkley Cycle Races are a major fixture in the town’s summer calendar, drawing top riders and enthusiastic crowds from across the UK. This year’s community fundraising partnership is set to make the 2025 edition even more impactful.
