Bradford Council is wishing good luck to Ilkley Grammar School [IGS] students eagerly awaiting their exam results this August.
Close to 5,000 young people from IGS and across the district will receive their A Level, BTEC, and other technical and vocational qualification results this Thursday (14 August), while more than 8,500 will get their GCSE grades next Thursday (21 August).
Alongside its good wishes, the council is offering advice and support to help students take their next steps toward the careers they want.
Cllr Sue Duffy, portfolio holder for Children and Families, said:
“Good luck to everyone receiving results. You should be proud of the hard work you’ve put in.
“Whatever your grades, remember there are many paths to success and plenty of opportunities ahead. Stay positive, keep going, and follow your ambitions.
“If you’re unsure what to do next, we’re here to help.”
Students can find information and guidance on the council’s website, whether they’re collecting A Level and vocational results, or GCSE results.

SkillsHouse is also hosting a Next Steps event on 21 August at The Broadway Shopping Centre, Bradford, where careers advisers and local training providers will be on hand to discuss options including further study, training, and employment.
