Tickets are now on sale for the first-ever Ilkley 5K, a brand-new race launching alongside the Ilkley Half Marathon on Sunday, 13th July 2025.
Designed to bring even more runners into the excitement of race day, the Ilkley 5K is open to runners aged 11 and over, making it a fantastic opportunity for younger participants to experience the thrill of a big race event in a friendly, supportive environment.
Whether you’re an experienced runner looking for a fast course or just starting your running journey, this is your chance to be part of something special.
Entry prices are: Adults (18+) £20 and Children (11-17) £12
Both races will start and finish in Ilkley, with the event village offering more food and drink options, live music, and kids’ entertainment than ever before.
Organisers say the Ilkley Half Marathon has always been about more than just running, it’s about supporting the local community. In 2024, the event raised over £50,000 for local charities, and with the introduction of the 5K race, they hope to surpass £55,000 in donations this year.

Funds raised from both races will continue to support local good causes, including LS29, Ben Rhydding Scouts, Leeds-based Flourishing Families, and many more organisations across the Wharfe and Aire valleys

A spokesperson said:
“By signing up, runners will not only experience an incredible event but also contribute to projects that make a real difference in their communities.
“It’s set to be a fantastic day out for runners and spectators alike!”
