First Bus is marking the return of the X84 express service between Ilkley-Otley-Leeds this weekend (Sunday 23 February) by teaming up with two iconic venues in the towns.
Customers will have the opportunity to win the chance to enjoy the hospitality of the world famous Bettys tearoom in Ilkley or relax with a drink at North Bar in Otley.
Sumptuous treats from Bettys include a main prize of a £200 voucher to spend in the café, a Finer Things Gift Box worth £100 or one of its Delightfully Yorkshire gift bags valued at £30.
North Bar is providing a £25 bar tab for one lucky winner and other prizes of complimentary wine and cocktails.
Lucy Mottram, Marketing Manager of First Bus in West Yorkshire, said:
“We’re delighted to bring back our X84 express service and give regular customers commuting to Leeds the chance that their ticket could prove even better value!
“Ilkley and Otley are great destinations for a day out, so we’re also hoping to encourage new customers to discover these towns by bus and enjoy our express service to get there.”
Audra Cain, Assistant Manager of North Bar, said:
“We are super-excited to see this service return. It's such a wonderful way to bring people into town and connect the local communities.
“It's also the best way to access our sun trap beer garden, the last bus home is a staple service for our locals, whether they've used our free to book event space or just stopped by for one! We're really looking forward to giving back to the community."
The competition runs for two weeks from Monday 24 February-Sunday 9 March. All tickets scanned using the First Bus app on the X84 service will be automatically entered into competition with winners selected at random.
