Doctor Rachael Gray released her debut novel ‘A Little Bird Told Me’ this month and will be donating 20% of her royalties from the novels first year to Airedale Hospital & Community Charity.
Rachael wrote her novel during 2020/21 where she was heading up the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. Described as a cosy crime murder mystery to challenge your sleuthing skills, it’s the perfect book to end the summer period with.
Author Rachael Gray said:
“Working through the COVID-19 pandemic in a healthcare setting resulted in me seeking a creative outlet. With all of the pressures we were under and experiences we went through, it really helped me to turn my hand to my debut novel.
“With this novel I want to pay tribute to my fantastic team, colleagues and patients; it was a privilege to work with you all through such a challenging period in time.”
Jodie Hearnshaw, Charity Manager added:
“This is such an exciting time for Rachael and we’re delighted to be her chosen charity.
“We wish Rachael all the success with her debut novel, it’s a perfect read for this time of year.”
If you’d like to get hold of your own copy of A Little Bird Told Me, it’s available now from Amazon and a few bookshops including The Stripey Badger, Grassington and Limestone Books, Settle.
By purchasing A Little Bird Told Me, 20% of the royalties will be donated to Airedale Hospital & Community Charity. AHCC are the official charity of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. They support staff, patients, and the Airedale community. Funds raised help the improvement of staff and patient experience and wellbeing at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and the surrounding community.
