Hundreds still without power in Ilkley

Northern Powergrid Power Cut Map

Many homes and businesses in Ilkley are without power Monday afternoon [15 September] following a power cut first reported around 11am.

A number of properties had their power restored just after 12 midday, but at 4pm Northern Powergrid's 'power cut map' still shows 312 properties without a supply.

The company says it expects the power to be back on for most customers by 19:45 - 20:45.

Reports on social media suggest it was a fire at a sub station that cause the outage.

Louise Lowes, Director of Customer Service at Northern Powergrid said:

"We know that power cuts can be really difficult. That’s why our teams are ready to support you and provide you with a 10/10 service while we work as quickly as possible to get your power back on.

"Our Power cut map provides you with the same live updates our advisors can see, so you can stay up-to-date on how our teams are progressing with getting the lights back on.
