Ashiana Indian Takeaway on Wells Road in Ilkley is celebrating after having been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.
The takeaway, which offers authentic contemporary Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine, is a finalist in the category ‘Takeaway of The Year’ in the Yorkshire Curry Awards 2024.
The awards look to celebrate the best curry restaurants and takeaways across Yorkshire and to shine a spotlight on the individuals whose hard work and dedication continue to make Yorkshire a curry hotspot in the UK. The winners are determined by public vote.
The business has recently marked its first-year anniversary after opening in Ilkley in April 2023.
Proprietor Forhad Miah is delighted to be chosen as a finalist and said: “As a small family run business and fairly new to the Ilkley area, we’re proud to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. We’ve had tremendous help and support from the local community and it would be amazing if people would get involved and help us further by taking the time to vote for us.
“We’re up against some strong finalists from Bradford, Huddersfield, Leeds, Wakefield and Halifax, but we would love to bring the shiny trophy back to Ilkley!”
Voting is online and can be accessed using the following link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/TheYorkshireCurryAwards2024 (choose option 9 ‘ Takeaway Of The Year’) or accessed by scanning the QR code on Ashiana’s Facebook page.
The winners will be announced in a ceremony on 8th July 2024. Voting is open until midnight on 30th June 2024.
