On Saturday 27th September from 12 noon, Ilkley's Strongman, Mark Kelly, will take part in a 30 tonne charity truck pull for Andy's Man Club.
The pull will take place at Heavy Metal Gym (part of Billingtons Strength & Fitness), on Dansk Way (off the Leeds Road, next to Kwik Fit).
Mark is open and honest about his own mental health journey and is on a mission to help break the stigma and silence surrounding men’s mental health, supported by Pete Billington and Heavy Metal Gym. A passionate advocate for Andy’s Man Club, he is committed to raising awareness and offering support and is always ready to be a listening ear for anyone who may be struggling.
Mark and Pete will be available throughout the afternoon for free fully supervised taster sessions and to talk about fitness, how to deadlift (properly), 'strongman' techniques and more.
Andy's Man Club, is a men’s mental health peer to peer group which opened its Ilkley group in July at Abbeyfield Grove House Nursing home on Riddings Road. Meeting are every Monday, apart from bank holidays, from 7pm to 9pm. #ITSOKTOTALK
