Ilkley Town Council says it is looking forward to hosting the 2026 Annual Town Meeting, which is being held on Wednesday 18 March at the Clarke Foley Community Hub.
The Annual Town Meeting is convened by the Chair of Ilkley Town Council and is a meeting of local electors, not a Council meeting.
The meeting will focus on the amazing work of community organisations and will celebrate the impactful contributions made by local volunteers through the Ilkley Citizen Awards Scheme, now in its second year.
The meeting is also an opportunity for residents to have their input into matters that affect where they live, including giving feedback on preliminary designs for the refurbishment of the South Hawksworth Street car park public toilets.
The evening will start at 6:30pm with a showcase of local groups, so it’s the perfect opportunity to come along and find out what’s going on within the town.
The meeting will begin at 7.00pm and will include Ilkley Town Mayor’s annual report and presentations to the winners of the Ilkley Citizen Awards.
Cllr Jane Gibson, Ilkley Town Mayor, says:
“I am delighted to be convening this year’s Annual Town Meeting and look forward to welcoming everyone to what I’m sure will be a successful event. I would like to thank Ilkley BID for providing the prizes for the Ilkley Citizen Awards and also Bettys, who have kindly donated light refreshments for the evening. I hope that Ilkley residents can join us, enjoying some cake whilst immersing themselves in community matters.”
The Annual Town Meeting agenda can be viewed on the Ilkley Town Council website and all are welcome to attend: https://www.ilkleytowncouncil.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/100/2026/03/Annual-Town-Meeting-Notice-2026.pdf
