Ilkley residents are invited to the new Ilkley fountain clean and plant-up day on Sunday 6th July.
The charity behind the project, Improving Ilkley, says it initially planned to hold off on planting due to upcoming changes in Phase 2, but due to the fantastic success of its ‘Fountain Pieces’ fundraiser, and combined with generous support from Ilkley BID, means the charity is now in a position to fully plant up the area.
A spokesperson for Improving Ilkley said:
"If you’re free, we’d love for you to join us. Whether you can spare 20 minutes or more, every pair of hands makes a difference.
"It’s also a great opportunity to chat with the team and hear more about our exciting Phase 2 plans, which we’ll be officially launching in early September."
Anyone interested in joining in the clean and plant-up day should head to the fountain site at the top of Brook Street from 3pm.
