Airedale Hospital & Community Charity hosted its first Valentine’s Day market in the restaurant of Airedale General Hospital to raise funds for the Emergency Department Appeal. A Spring Outdoor Market is next in April.
Local businesses were invited to attend the market on Valentine’s Day where a fantastic £183 was raised for the appeal. Businesses included Betsy’s Bake Boxes, LaLa Designs, Airedale Crafts and From Nanny with Love.
Thanks to recent fundraising efforts, the Emergency Department Appeal total now stands at an incredible £95,709.
Laura Turner, Communications and Charity Assistant commented:
“We had a fabulous day spreading some joy to our patients, visitors and colleagues on the day with a themed market. It brought something different to the site with a variety of stalls to suit everyone for that last minute Valentine’s gift.
“Thank you to our stall holders for joining us and for making the market such a success, we’re getting ever closer to our £150,000 target for the Emergency Department Appeal.”

The charity will also be hosting a Spring Outdoor Market on Sunday 27 April 10.00am – 2.00pm in the P3 carpark at Airedale General Hospital with a variety of stall holders from the local community already set to attend.
