A 20mph speed limit will come into effect in Menston on Friday, 30th May 2025, says Cllr Chris Steele.
Bradford Council proposed the village wide scheme in 2023 and ran a public consultation, the feedback showed 115 for and 13 against the 20mph zone.
Following the consultation the scheme was updated and revised, these proposals were approved.
The 20mph zone covers the whole area of Menston and Menston Old Lane and has supporting traffic calming features.
Wharfedale Councillor, Chris Steele, said on his Facebook page:
“I welcome the introduction of this safety measure to make Menston a better place to walk and cycle.”
