Nobby Clarke has raised over £30,000 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice since 2013

Nobby Clarke, from Silsden held his annual charity clay pigeon shoot on New Year's Day and taken his all time fundraising total through the £30,000 mark for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.

Nobby has held the clay pigeon shoot for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice since 2013, and this year raised over £3,350 for the hospice through the shoot and a raffle. The total was also swelled with a £350 from the late Robin Ludlow.

Sue Ryder Community Fundraising Manager Andrew Wood thanked Nobby, the landowner, Lewis Robertshaw, Barnes Butchers of Keighley and Nobby's helpers on the day. Nobby also extended his gratitude to all who attended and took part in the raffle. He said:

“I’m delighted and staggered that after choosing to raise some funds for Manorlands in 2013 we have reached a total of over £30,000.”

Andrew Wood went to collect the funds and thank Nobby, who kindly provides the clays for the event. Andrew said:

“We are very grateful to Nobby and his team for continuing to support us with his clay pigeon shoot. The funds raised mean we can continue to be there during the hardest times for people who need us the most.”
