The vocal quartet Oaken will be holding a singing workshop and concert in Ilkley as be part of the Earth Day Celebration Weekend on 3rd May at St John’s in Ben Rhydding.
Oaken is Emily Barden, Anna Tabbush, Camilo Menjura & Dominic Stichbury. As singers, choral leaders, composers & arrangers, they are bringing luscious harmony through performances and workshops to audiences around the UK.
This will be their first time in Ilkley, delivering an afternoon singing workshop, 3-5pm, which they will team teach, each member leading a part. Music will be taught by ear in luscious 4-part harmony. No previous musical or singing experience necessary.
In the evening you can hear the quartet perform their unique repertoire, 7-9pm.

“With roots in folk music, branching into contemporary and original songs, this quartet of experienced performers and practitioners began delivering online singing workshops together in 2020. Since then Oaken have developed an exciting repertoire that showcases their vocal talents, alongside a prolific catalogue of self penned songs and arrangements.
“The group's innate musicality and friendship brings warmth and joy to audiences, whilst their characterful team teaching has delighted workshop go-ers since they began.”
This Oaken workshop and concert will be part of the Earth Day Celebration Weekend, 'This Precious Earth' St. John’s Church, Ben Rhydding: Friday 2nd May - Sunday 4th May.
Tickets for either the workshop and concert or both are available from ticketsouce, a 10% early bird discount is available until 28th February.
