The local Ukrainian community invite everyone to celebrate Independence Day on Saturday.
The event will take place between 10am and 2pm at the Clarke Foley Community Hub on Cunliffe Road.
A spokesperson said:
"This is an open invitation to come on down on Saturday to meet our own Ukrainian families and children, and embrace Ukrainian culture, fun and games.
"Plans are made for an exhibition and sale of paintings by Ukrainian artists, art and craft stalls, and dance and songs of the small local Ukraine choir. Come and taste some of the delicious snacks prepared locally by our community.
"There will be no charge for admission, just a donation box, with all funds collected going out to support the brave resistance back home.
"Looking forward to welcoming all our local families and friends, our generous Hosts, teachers and local volunteers."
