Addingham’s annual Village Show, organised by Addingham Allotments & Gardens Association, will take place on Saturday 9th August 2025.
The event will be held at the Memorial Hall in the village and with over 60 entry classes across vegetables, fruit, flowers and floral art, home baking and preserves, handicrafts and photography, as well as a section just for children, there’s something for everyone.
Show Secretary, Peter Cooke said:
"Our Village Show is a wonderful community celebration and is intended to bring together people of all ages to enjoy shared activities.
“Our event is not just for the green-fingered; there are plenty of other classes and categories and I’d encourage everyone to join in and have a go.
You don’t need to be an expert by any means; it’s great fun and you will be supporting a long-standing village event. We even have specific novice classes for all the vegetable and flower classes, so there’s no reason not to give it a try and who knows, you might even win a prize or two!”

Association Chair, Stewart Taylor added:
“We‘re delighted this year that following a competition that we held with the children at Addingham Primary School to design a piece of artwork for our posters and schedule, the front cover of our Show programme features the overall winning entry by Freddie and the posters can be seen at various outlets in the village, including a fantastic window display at the local Co-Op!”
Entries will be taken on Wednesday 6th August at the Memorial Hall between 6.30pm and 8pm or can be sent to the Show Secretary in advance. Please note that no entries, apart from the children’s classes, can be submitted on the day of the Show.
Schedules of all the classes and entry forms with full details can be viewed and downloaded from the association website www.addinghamaga.org.uk or paper copies can be collected from the village Hub or library.
The Show will be open to the public from 2pm on the day and prizes will be presented to the winners at 3.45pm.
