The X84 bus service between Ilkley, Otley and Leeds city centre will be reintroduced this weekend.
The route was replaced by services 25 and 26 in October 2024, operator First Bus says these will now be replaced by the X84 from Sunday, 23rd February.
Over 3000 people signed a petition after the changes last year, with many bus users complaining about "journey times, frequency and reliability”.
A spokesperson for First Bus says:
“We're making changes to improve the reliability of services and address customer feedback.
“The X84 limited stop service from Leeds to Ilkley will be reinstated, replacing services 25 and 26.
“Services towards Ilkley will be boarding only (no disembarking) between Leeds City Centre and Otley Old Road. Service towards Leeds will be disembarking only (no boarding) between Weetwood Police Station and Leeds City Centre.”
The service frequency will be approximately every 40 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes, and approximately hourly on evenings and Sundays.
The new X84 timetable is available on the First website here.
