Ilkley Philharmonic Orchestra will be joining forces with the talented young dancers from the Academy of Northern Ballet in their annual New Year’s Concert.
IPO’s conductor, John Anderson, said:
“Following the enormous success of last year’s Viennese concert, which was completely sold out, we are delighted to work once again with the amazing young dancers from the Academy of Northern Ballet. In this concert they will be performing excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s dramatic ballet Swan Lake, a perennial favourite with audiences worldwide. We are delighted to be able to offer the dancers the invaluable opportunity to perform with a live orchestra”.
“The concert will include famous waltzes, polkas and marches by the Strauss family and others, and acclaimed Tenor, Cameron Mitchell, from Opera North, joins the orchestra to sing popular arias including ’Nessun Dorma’ from Puccini’s opera Turandot and Lehar’s ‘You are my hearts delight’ - not to be missed!”
The concert takes place on Saturday 10th January 2026 in the King’s Hall, Ilkley at 7.30pm.
Tickets available online at Eventbrite.com, or on the door until sold out.
