Regent Dental in Ilkley is proudly celebrating its first anniversary on 27 January 2026, marking a significant milestone in its journey serving the Ilkley community.

Located on Regent Road in the heart of Ilkley, Regent Dental opened at the beginning of 2025, taking over the premises formally occupied by Regent Orthodontics. The practice builds on the excellent reputation established by Mr Damian Petrucci, following his retirement at the end of 2024.

While honouring that legacy, Regent Dental has expanded its offering to include a full range of modern dental treatments, including implants, cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign®, and is recognised for offering the most affordable Invisalign® treatment across the Yorkshire region.

Julie Bastow is the Practice Manager at Regent Dental:

“When we opened Regent Dental, our vision was clear, we wanted to create a modern, welcoming practice where patients feel genuinely cared for and confident in their dental health. One year on, it’s incredibly rewarding to see how strongly that vision has resonated with our patients and the wider Ilkley community.”

Over the past year, Regent Dental has welcomed a growing and diverse patient base, from families and professionals to children and long-standing local residents. The practice has continued to invest in advanced technology, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care across everything from routine check-ups to advanced cosmetic treatments.

A key focus has been creating a calm, reassuring environment, particularly for nervous and anxious patients. The practice is known for its relaxing, spa-like atmosphere that is both clinical, yet warm and homely, helping patients feel at ease from the moment they arrive.

Julie said:

“One of the most rewarding parts of our work is seeing anxious patients grow in confidence. Helping someone overcome their fear of dental treatment and leave smiling is incredibly fulfilling for our whole team.”

Patient feedback has been a highlight of Regent Dental’s first year, with many praising the friendly team, unhurried appointments, and the time taken to clearly explain treatments.

Julie added:

“We believe dentistry should feel personal, not rushed, it’s been wonderful to hear from patients who genuinely feel listened to and supported - that’s exactly the experience we strive to deliver.”

Looking ahead, Regent Dental is eager to deepen its involvement within the local community. The team is passionate about promoting good oral health habits and visited two local primary schools last year to support oral health education at home. With poor oral health linked to wider health conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes, the practice believes early education is vital.

Plans are in place for further school visits in 2026, alongside engagement with local nursing homes where staff may face challenges supporting residents with dental care.

Furthermore, the practice is committed to supporting local businesses and suppliers and it runs a popular Refer a Friend initiative, rewarding patient recommendations with a £20 Bettys voucher.

To mark its first anniversary, Regent Dental is partnering with Ilkley Business Improvement District (BID) to offer a special prize draw for the local community. The first prize includes a free dental check-up, hygiene appointment and Boutique Whitening treatment, while second and third prize winners will each receive a complimentary dental health check-up and hygiene appointment. The details can be found on the Discover Ilkley website.

As Regent Dental enters its second year, the team are very grateful for the support they have been given with Julie adding:

“We want to say thank you for choosing Regent Dental, for recommending us to friends and family, and for helping us build such a strong foundation in our very first year. We’re incredibly excited for what lies ahead.”
