A Jamaican-themed event is coming to Ilkley next month to help fund an aspiring rugby player's dream.
Leo Skerrett-Evans has been asked to play for the Jamaican national team in rugby league.
The Castleford Tigers player has been in the game for 10 years, including two years in the scholarship squad at Leeds Rhinos.
And in order to achieve his dream, 18-year-old Leo is hosting a fundraiser at Ticket Office to pay for flights and accommodation to join up with the team in Canada.
It’s being held on Thursday 1st August from 7pm until 10pm.
Visitors can expect a night of delicious Jamaican food, a raffle, DJ and a chance to donate.
Leo said:
“My rugby journey has now taken a huge leap, as I've been asked to play for Jamaica national team in Canada this October.
“Any donations as part of this will help fund my flights and accommodation.
“It will be a great evening and again any donation big or small will be hugely grateful.”
Tickers are £10 per person. Find out more about the event and book your place here: https://bit.ly/leosJamaicanFundraiserEvent
