Nursery Rhymes & Jabberwocky Pre-School in Addingham is celebrating 25 years of providing high-quality care, education and support to children and families within the local community.
Over the last quarter of a century, the village nursery has become a well-established and highly respected early-years setting for children from babies through to school age.
The nursery opened its doors on 28 May 2001 and one of its proudest achievements has been the development of its bespoke IMPACT Curriculum, which supports children’s individual development whilst promoting curiosity, creativity, communication and emotional wellbeing.
One staff member is also celebrating her own milestone, Nursery Manager, Rachael Martin, having been at the nursery for all 25 years, Rachael has played an instrumental role in shaping the setting into what it is today.
Nursery Proprietor, Andrea Parker said:
“Celebrating 25 years of Nursery Rhymes & Jabberwocky Pre-School is such an emotional and proud moment for us all. Over the years we have built something incredibly special within our local community and we are so grateful to all of the families who have supported us along the way.
"A huge part of our success is our incredible staff team and the love, care and dedication they bring every single day. In particular, I would like to personally thank Rachael Martin for her outstanding 25 years of service to the nursery. Rachael has been with us from the very beginning and has dedicated so much of her life to helping the nursery grow and thrive.
"She is one of the most passionate, caring and committed people I know. She always puts the needs of the children, families and staff first and works tirelessly to ensure every child feels safe, valued and supported. Her leadership, kindness and dedication have had an immeasurable impact on so many lives over the years, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she continues to do for our nursery family.
"I am also incredibly proud of our wider leadership team and staff team, whose individual strengths and expertise continue to help our nursery grow, evolve and provide the very best care and education for children.
"As we celebrate this milestone, we also look ahead with excitement for the future and everything still to come."
With a combined total of 195 years of qualified nursery experience shared between them, along with manager Rachael, other senior staff members include Deputy Manager, Sarah Baines-Mormile, Teacher & Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, Effie King and Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordinator, Keri Parker, who leads the nursery’s PANCo work.
