All welcome to Sunday's Ilkley Pride Coffee & Cake Social

Ilkley Pride & Diversity Group is looking forward to welcoming the community back for its next Coffee & Cake Social, taking place this Sunday from 2pm at Vitello Lounge, Ilkley.

Held on a monthly basis, the Coffee & Cake Social has become a popular opportunity for people to come together in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The event is open to LGBTQ+ people, allies, friends, family members and anyone who wants to support an inclusive local community. Whether you're attending for the first time or have been to previous socials, everyone is welcome.

The afternoon is all about enjoying good company over a coffee and a slice of cake, with no formal agenda or activities. Guests are free to drop in for a quick drink or stay for the afternoon, making it an easy way to meet new people, catch up with familiar faces and build lasting connections within the local community.

Since launching the socials, Ilkley Pride has welcomed people of all ages and backgrounds, creating a space where friendships have formed and new members of the community have found a welcoming place to connect. The events reflect Ilkley Pride's commitment to promoting inclusion, visibility and community throughout the year, not just during Pride celebrations.

An Ilkley Pride spokesperson said:

"Our Coffee & Cake Socials are one of the highlights of the month. They're relaxed, friendly and open to everyone, and it's always fantastic to see such a mix of people coming together. Whether you've lived in Ilkley for years or have recently moved to the area, we'd love to welcome you along for a chat and help you feel part of the community."

There is no need to book in advance, just come along from 2pm on Sunday and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in great company. As Ilkley Pride continues to grow, events like the Coffee & Cake Social remain an important part of its mission to create welcoming spaces where people can connect, support one another and celebrate diversity in the heart of the community.
