Alan Kirby, Cheese Buyer at Booths, said:
"Winning Supreme Cheese Retailer of the Year is a fantastic honour and a real reflection of the passion and expertise of our colleagues and the exceptional cheesemakers we work with."
"We're incredibly proud of our cheese counters, where customers can discover more than 100 carefully selected British and European cheeses. Our colleagues receive specialist training through our own Cheese Academy, giving them the knowledge and confidence to help customers explore new cheeses, understand their stories and find the perfect cheese for every occasion."
"We look for cheeses with real provenance – from Mrs Kirkham's Lancashire, still made using traditional methods passed down through generations, to raw milk Wensleydale that captures the character of the Yorkshire Dales. Alongside these British favourites, we also source outstanding cheeses from across Europe, ensuring every cheese we sell has earned its place in our counters."
Booths has long been recognised for its commitment to specialist food and drink, working closely with artisan producers while investing in traditional skills to ensure customers continue to receive expert advice and exceptional quality.
