England Boxing's Yorkshire Title Belt holder launches new weekly boxercise class in Ilkley with Warrior Martial Arts Academy
Ben Robertson is championing the benefits of boxing this autumn with a brand-new weekly boxercise class at Ilkley Martial Arts Centre. Suitable for absolute beginners and those with previous boxercise experience, the first session takes place on Wednesday 24 September at 7.30-8.30pm.
Originally from Doncaster, Ben is an accomplished amateur boxer and qualified England Boxing coach. He joined Warrior Martial Arts Academy in June this year and leads classes in Ilkley and Bradford. The new hour-long boxercise classes will be fun and energetic, combining boxing-style movements and conditioning circuits for a high-intensity workout. Boxercise offers a range of physical and mental wellbeing benefits, including improved muscle strength, increased endurance and enhanced self-confidence and mood. Sessions cost £6 and attendees should wear appropriate sports attire.

Ben said:
“It can be difficult to maintain an exercise routine through the autumn and winter months, as the days get shorter and the weather gets colder. That’s exactly why we’re launching our new boxercise classes. We hope the weekly sessions will help people engage in regular activity and perhaps inspire them to try boxing and other martial arts disciplines. As an instructor I’m committed to fitness growth and can’t wait to support members of the community with their individual journeys.”

Ilkley Martial Arts Centre opened on South Hawksworth Street in Ilkley town centre in November 2024. The facility is home to Warrior Martial Arts Academy and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. It hosts an extensive programme of classes for all ages, including kickboxing and boxing for teens and adults.
