A community forum in Ilkley will bring together professionals to discuss challenges facing young men and boys, and how to better support them.
Hosted Dr Caroline Rayment of Grange Park Surgery in Burley-in-Wharfedale and Robbie Moore MP, this forum will explore the challenges facing young men today and how we, as a community, can better support young men and boys across the Ilkley and Wharfedale area.
The event in Ilkley on Thursday 9 July will bring together professionals from across the mental health, wellbeing, healthcare, and education sectors to encourage meaningful discussion, collaboration, and the sharing of ideas and experiences.
A spokesperson said:
"We are also delighted to welcome Dr Luke Evans, Shadow Minister for Health, as guest speaker. Following his address, Robbie Moore MP will chair a panel discussion featuring representatives from a range of organisations working within these sectors, with attendees invited to contribute through questions from the floor."
Throughout the afternoon, a variety of organisations from the mental health, wellbeing, healthcare, and education sectors will host information stalls. Following the panel discussion, guests will have the opportunity to network, engage directly with organisations, and continue important conversations around supporting young men and boys within our community.
Anyone working or volunteering within mental health, wellbeing, healthcare, or education sectors is welcome to attend, please register at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ilkley-and-district-mental-health-forum-tickets-1990630774232?
