Tickets are now on sale for a very special dining event at Outside the Box, Ilkley’s Café of the Year 2025, on Saturday 20 June.
Guests will enjoy an inspiring evening, with a delicious 3-course meal, complimentary summer punch and pop-up bar, in an event that brings the vision of the charity to life with the support of the local community.
Hosted in Ilkley’s stunning Victorian Arcade, the event will showcase and celebrate the many talents and achievements of members of Outside the Box, all of whom have learning disabilities or autism.
Members will be hands on at the event, helping to greet guests, prepare and serve the seasonal menu working with the Outside the Box staff team.
Beth Edwards, Marketing and Events Officer at the charity, said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity to have a really enjoyable evening with family and friends whilst showing your support for Outside the Box. There will also be lots of creative work, produced by our members, on show – so dine, wine, art and make a positive difference!”
Guest reviews from previous similar events at Outside the Box have been incredibly positive, with comments such as 'excellent customer service', 'lovely, friendly atmosphere', 'absolutely delicious food' and ‘A great evening, we are already looking forward to the next event'.
The event is scheduled to coincide with the end of Learning Disability Week 2026, a national campaign running from Monday 15 June to Sunday 21 June, that is dedicated to celebrating the lives and achievements of those with learning disabilities.

“The theme for this year is ‘Do you see me’ and our event is an ideal way for our local community to be part of the celebrations in the town, so do come along to what promises to be a joyful and memorable evening”.
The seasonal menu for the event includes mouth-watering meat and vegetarian options and delicious desserts, all prepared by Team OTB, including members of the Baking, Cooking, Catering and Working Life groups.
