Start your Christmas celebrations at Ilkley’s Christmas Tree Festival, St Margaret’s Church, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December, from 10.00am.
Enter home grown Yorkshire Nordmann Christmas trees, stunning decorations, festive lights and the joy of bringing so many community organisations together who do amazing work to support so many of us in Ilkley. There’s also music and entertainment across two days on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December at Ilkley’s Christmas Tree Festival on Queen’s Road. Angelic angels are waiting to be crafted, refreshments smell and taste delicious, and the Christmas lights are about to be switched on. All we wish for is that the lovely people of Ilkley and surrounds to join us for the fabulous Ilkley Christmas Tree Festival. A great way to start Christmas – we do hope you’ll come along and bring friends and family!
On Friday 6 December musical treats include the choirs from Ghyll Royd School (10.30 am), Westville House School (11.30 am) Moorfield School Choir (2.00 pm), and Addingham Primary School (4.30pm). Steph and her sax play at 5.15 pm.
On Saturday, come and support Outside the Box band (10.15 am) and the children’s Ukrainian Choir (11.15 am). Our Ukrainian friends will also be running the gingerbread decorating and angel making workshop from 12.00 pm – 1.30 pm. The Rock Choir performs at 2.00 pm followed by the Ilkley Singers (3.30 pm) and finishing off with St Margaret’s choir (4.30 pm).
Organisers say:
"Come along to enjoy the stunning trees and music – and soak up the atmosphere with a cuppa and cake in beautiful St Margaret’s church. We even have Lishman’s sausage rolls to tempt you – not to be missed!
"There is so much to enjoy over Ilkley’s Christmas Tree Festival this weekend – we hope you will join us. Proceeds will support the work of Martin House Children’s Hospice. Entry is free and all are welcome."
The festival is open 10am-6pm on Friday and 10am-5pm on Saturday.
