Police have made arrests and are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Burley in Wharfedale.
Bradford District CID is appealing for information and footage as enquiries continue into a serious incident at the junction of Main Street and Iron Row.
Officers were called at 9.56am today (Sunday 1 March) to a report a man had been found in the street with a stab injury to his body.
Emergency services attended and the victim, a man believed to be in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment. He is described as in a critical condition.
Following enquiries a 30-year-old man was arrested from a nearby address on suspicion of attempted murder.
Two women both aged 23 have also been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. All are in custody for questioning.
Police scenes remain in place at locations including Main Street and Iron Row.
DCI Michael Cox of West Yorkshire Police, said:
“Multiple police enquiries are ongoing today into what has clearly been a very serious assault on a victim in Burley and Wharfedale.“We realise this incident will cause concern locally, but I want to assure residents we do think this incident was isolated and targeted, and that we have all necessary resources in the area to investigate what took place.
“Police activity will continue at locations throughout the day, and we are appealing for witnesses."
