Ilkley Civic Society will host a guided Heritage Walk on Saturday 25 July at 2:00pm, tracing the history and architecture of the town’s eastern hydropathic hotels.
The walk begins at the junction of Cowpasture Road and Wheatley Road and will visit the sites and stories of Marlborough House, Stoney Lea, Rockwood Hydro, Troutbeck, and conclude at Craiglands, where an exhibition and opportunity to share memories will await participants.
Participants should be aware that part of the route follows an uneven moorside path that is presently overgrown in places; sturdy footwear is recommended.
