Ilkley Rugby Club's junior squad ‘Ilkley Colts’ now look the part in their new kit.
The squad now boasts twenty six local lads aged 16-18, they have played seven matches this season, winning six, and currently sit third in what might be the tightest Yorkshire League since records began.
Announcing its sponsorship, Business Waste has teamed up other Yorkshire businesses including Attis, Ripon Ground Care and Cardinal, and community group, Ilkley Pride & Diversity, sponsorship has helped to ensure Ilkley Colts aren’t just playing the part anymore, they’re now looking the part too!
Speaking about the new kit coach Newbury said:
“If you’ve got a Rolls-Royce engine, you need Rolls-Royce bodywork. And with these new outfits, the Colts are looking like they’ve just rolled off the showroom floor!”
Mark Hall, waste management expert at BusinessWaste.co.uk, comments:
“We’re immensely proud to support both Ilkley Rugby Club and, more specifically, the Ilkley Colts. Working alongside other sponsors, we’re proud to have helped ensure the lads turn up to matches looking less like a group of teenagers who got dressed in the dark and more like a squad ready for a Premiership photoshoot.
“Thanks to the growth and success of the business over the last ten years, we’re able to give back to our local communities and ensure that we’re helping to build the confidence of younger people.”
The company sponsors Ilkley Rugby club in various ways, from sponsoring the posts, providing coaches kits and hoodies for the under 12s, and now featuring as a named sponsor on the Colts’ tops.
