Ideal Extraction Ltd, an innovative engineering company based in Ilkley, has secured the coveted SME Business of the Year award at the Bradford Means BUSINESSiQ Awards.
The Gala Awards Ceremony, held on 11 July at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford, celebrated the vibrant business community driving success across the district.
Organised by the Telegraph & Argus in partnership with LNER, the ceremony honoured standout enterprises and individuals committed to excellence in their field. Sales Director of Telegraph & Argus, Steve Lowe, praised the night’s achievements, noting:
“What a great night once again. The Bradford Business Awards continue to grow, and it was great to see so many fantastic local businesses and business people recognised.”
Founded in 2020 by Steve and Helen Rhodes, Ideal Extraction Ltd designs and installs bespoke dust and fume extraction systems, primarily for the woodworking sector. The company also delivers comprehensive maintenance and system testing services, helping clients remain compliant with ever-evolving health and safety legislation.
Company Director Helen Rhodes expressed pride in the recognition saying:
“We were incredibly proud to be named the winner of the SME category at the BusinessiQ Awards amongst some strong competition. It was fantastic to be part of the evening, celebrating business success together with the other finalists and participants.”
She continued, highlighting the business’s significant milestones:
“This is definitely a highlight of our year, which has been very busy with business expansion, new team members, and the opening of a new office at the International Development Centre in Ilkley.
“We've maintained consistent growth each year in term of turnover and staff numbers while keeping a tight rein on financial stability. Our success is a direct result of the commitment and loyalty of our employees and subcontractors, we look after them and they look after us, and this award is a testament to their dedication. We couldn’t be happier.”
Special thanks were extended to Schofield Sweeney for sponsoring the SME Business of the Year category.
