Ilkley Town’s AFC Super Vets are back in international action this weekend when its Over-55s face Republic of Ireland Over-55s on Sunday, 10 May, kicking off at 2pm.
Players from both squads met earlier this year when the teams faced each other in an over-60s fixture, Ilkley came out victorious on that occasion winning 3-2.
The Baht’atters will be keen to remain undefeated to RoI with the lower age bracket presenting the opportunity to draft in new recruits including Club Chair Richard Giles.
The match is the first of a brace of international fixtures coming to Ilkley with the Baht’atters facing England Over-60s at home on 7 June.
A spokesperson for the club said:
"Entry to Sunday’s match is free. We’d love to see you at the MPM Stadium, Ben Rhydding Sports Club."
