Ilkley Moornotes have announced their winter concert date, Saturday 6th December, taking place in the ancient parish church of All Saints, Ilkley at 7.30pm.
As well as songs from the choir there will also be poetry readings and carol singing too.
Kate Stevens, Musical Director, Ilkley Moornotes says:
“The choir always looks forward to our festive concert in December as it allows us to sing such a wide variety of songs, old and new as well as joining with the audience for some uplifting carol singing.
“Our choice of the Trussell Trust as the chosen charity for Moornotes, is because choir members felt the work they do is very relevant at this time of economic hardship and rising cost of living.
“We hope that everyone attending will leave the concert feeling uplifted and ready for Christmas. We look forward to welcoming friends old and new.”
Light refreshments will be available in the interval.
Tickets for the concert on 6th December are available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/ilkley-moornotes-community-choir, by calling 0333 6663366 or on the door.
Moornotes Choir started small but since it began in 2007 it has now grown to 65 members. The a cappella choir performs a wide range of traditional, contemporary and world music. For information on future concerts go to www.moornotes.org.uk
