Ilkley Pride & Diversity Group have announced a new series of monthly Coffee and Cake Socials at Vitello Lounge.
The socials offer a welcoming, relaxed, and inclusive space for members of the local LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together, and will take place at 2pm on the following Sunday’s throughout the summer:
- 17th May
- 21st June
- 19th July
- 16th August
Held in the comfortable surroundings of Vitello Lounge in the heart of Ilkley, the events aim to encourage connection, conversation, and community spirit in a safe and supportive environment. Guests are invited to drop in for coffee, cake, and a friendly chat, whether they are long-standing supporters of Ilkley Pride or attending for the very first time.

The initiative has been launched as part of Ilkley Pride’s ongoing commitment to creating inclusive spaces within the local community, recognising the importance of opportunities for people to connect socially in a welcoming environment free from judgement or pressure.
Organisers hope the socials will provide a positive space for people of all ages and backgrounds to meet others, reduce feelings of isolation, and strengthen community ties across Ilkley and the surrounding areas.
A spokesperson for Ilkley Pride said:
“We’re really excited to launch these monthly socials and create a regular space where people can simply come together, relax, and be themselves. Not everyone feels comfortable in louder or busier social settings, so we wanted to offer something informal, friendly, and accessible to all.”

They added:
“Community connection is incredibly important, and even something as simple as sharing a coffee and conversation can make a huge difference. We want everyone who comes along to feel welcomed, valued, and safe.”
The socials are open to everyone, including LGBTQ+ residents, allies, friends, family members, and anyone looking to meet new people in a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Ilkley Pride continues to organise a range of events and activities throughout the year aimed at celebrating diversity, promoting inclusion, and supporting the local LGBTQ+ community.
