Ilkley Pride & Diversity Group is looking for a new volunteer to help keep its activities running smoothly behind the scenes.
The group is seeking an Admin Assistant who can spare around two to three hours each month to help with tasks including preparing meeting agendas, taking and circulating minutes and directing emails and enquiries to the appropriate team member. The flexible role can fit around work, family and other commitments, with no previous experience required. Ilkley Pride & Diversity Group now runs activities throughout the year, including monthly social events ranging from coffee and cake meet-ups to walks and other activities. It also organises the annual Ilkley Pride celebration and works alongside local businesses and community organisations to promote inclusion in the town. A spokesperson said: “There’s plenty going on behind the scenes at Ilkley Pride throughout the year and having someone to help keep on top of the relatively simple admin makes a huge difference. “We’re not looking for someone to take on a massive commitment just someone who is organised, can spare a couple of hours a month and doesn’t mind writing the odd set of minutes! “It’s also a great way to get involved with the group if organising events isn’t necessarily your thing. “There are lots of ways to contribute to what we do, and this is one of those roles that might not be particularly visible but makes everything else a little bit easier.” Anyone interested in the volunteer role can contact Ilkley Pride & Diversity Group through its social media channels or email info@ilkleypride.co.uk.
