Ilkley residents asked for views on plans to rebuild town centre toilets

Completed surveys can be submitted online or returned in person to Ilkley Town Hall or Ilkley Library.

Residents in Ilkley and Ben Rhydding are being asked for their views on proposals to fund the rebuild of public toilets in the town centre.

Ilkley Town Council has launched a public consultation over plans for the facilities at the Brook Street central car park.

Consultation surveys are being delivered to households across Ilkley and Ben Rhydding, with residents encouraged to have their say on the proposals.

Completed surveys can be submitted online or returned in person to Ilkley Town Hall or Ilkley Library.

Public toilets have previously been identified as an important local service by residents. In Ilkley Town Council's 2024 community consultation, 87.4% of respondents said the South Hawksworth Street car park public toilets should be refurbished.

The council is now seeking feedback specifically on proposals to fund the rebuild of the Brook Street central car park toilets.

The sessions will take place on Saturday 24th October from 10am until 1pm, Tuesday 27th October from 4pm until 6:30pm and Tuesday 3rd November from 10:30am until 11:30am.

Further sessions will be held on Wednesday 11th November from 5pm until 7:30pm and Tuesday 17th November from 10:30am until 11:30am.

Architect's elevation images showing the proposed rebuild have also been published by the town council as part of the consultation.

The consultation survey and further details about the Brook Street Public Toilets Rebuild Project are available through the Ilkley Town Council website.
