Members of Ilkley & District Round Table spent the weekend in Sheffield attending the Round Table Britain & Ireland AGM.
The team who organise annual events including the Ilkley Half Marathon and Ilkley Beer Festival joined Tablers from across the country for a packed programme of networking, celebrations, and national decision-making.
The annual AGM brings together Round Table members from across Britain and Ireland to reflect on the past year, celebrate achievements, and help shape the future direction of the organisation. Representatives from Ilkley & District Round Table were proud to attend and represent the local group on a national stage.
The weekend included formal AGM proceedings alongside social events, charity discussions, and opportunities to connect with fellow members from other Round Tables nationwide. The event highlighted the strength of the Round Table movement and the impact local groups continue to have within their communities.
Ilkley & District Round Table has long been active in supporting community initiatives, fundraising events, and social activities across the area. In addition to the Ilkley Beer Festival and Ilkley Half Marathon & 5K, the group organises the annual Santa Float, all of which help raise money for good causes and bring the community together throughout the year.
Speaking after the weekend, an Ilkley & District Round Table member said:
“It was fantastic to spend time with Tablers from across the country and see the scale of the organisation nationally. Events like the AGM are a great reminder of the friendships, community spirit, and positive impact that Round Table creates both locally and nationally.”
The Sheffield AGM also gave members the chance to exchange ideas and bring fresh inspiration back to Ilkley, helping support future fundraising, social events, and community projects in the district.
Ilkley & District Round Table is open to men aged 18–45 who are looking to meet new people, get involved in the local community, and enjoy a varied calendar of social events, fundraising activities, and unique experiences while being part of an international organisation.
