Ilkley Town Council [ITC] has said it will continue to fund a garden maintenance programme for Mill Ghyll for the coming year.
ITC say Mill Ghyll is an important part of Ilkley’s public realm, providing a peaceful green route close to the town centre, and has confirmed it will pay Bradford Council over three thousands pounds for the ongoing care and upkeep, helping to ensure that Mill Ghyll remains an attractive and welcoming place for residents, visitors and the wider community.
A spokesperson for ITC said:
“Mill Ghyll is much loved by the community, and the Council is pleased to support the continuation of the garden maintenance programme for the coming year. This funding will help protect and enhance an important local space for everyone who uses it.”
The continued maintenance programme, costing ITC £3,415.74, will support the appearance, accessibility and enjoyment of the area throughout the year.
The spokesperson added:
"Ilkley Town Council will continue to work with Bradford Council and local partners to support the maintenance and improvement of public spaces across the town."
