The Ilkley Chamber Orchestra will present its summer concert on Sunday 20 July at 3.30pm, in the beautiful setting of All Saints’ Church, Ilkley.
Outstanding international soloist, Matthew Jones, will be performing the stunning oboe concerto by Richard Strauss. Strauss composed this work in 1945, at the end of the Second World War. This concerto is a real gem and the 2nd movement has one of his most beautiful and haunting melodies - not to be missed!
Prokofiev’s witty ‘Classical Symphony’ and Mozart’s sublime symphony no. 38 in D ‘Prague’ complete this popular programme.
