Four sisters are organising a ladies 100-mile bike ride that starts and ends in Ilkley to raise funds for Marie Curie.
Sisters - Jeanette, Sue, Adele, and Claire are supporting the charity that assisted their mother, Sheila Morris, during her 14-year battle with cancer.
The ladies would love to get 100 women to cycle 100 miles and each raise £100.
The riders will leave The Flying Duck in Ilkley on Sunday 14th September, cycling via Pool-in-Wharfedale, Sicklinghall, Wetherby, York, Selby, and returning back to Ilkley.
You don’t need to worry if you are new to cycling as the sisters explain:
“We will arrange training rides for the 2 months beforehand to build up your miles. On the day there will be an experienced rider at the back so no one will get left behind.
“There will be plenty of water and food stations and even tea and cake half way.
“We have a support van out on the road to fix any punctures, maps provided and there will be markings to guide your way.”
It is £25 to register and interested participants are asked to contact adelewilkin@hotmail.co.uk or use this link: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/100-women-cycling-100-miles-raising-100-in-aid-of-marie-curie-tickets-1309602088099
There is also a 50 mile option.
