Ilkley’s Late Night Shopping Event organised by Ilkley Business Improvement District (BID) will take place this evening Thursday 5th December with over 60 local shops and businesses staying open until 7.30pm.
In addition to the shopping opportunities, there will be festive music and street performances throughout the town centre to get shoppers in the holiday spirit and many of the businesses will be offering a free festive tipple and mince pies to their shoppers, as well as discounts and special offers.
12 retailers are also participating in the ‘Spot the Elf Competition” with a £50 Ilkley Gift Card as the winning prize. People are invited to download an entry form via the Discover Ilkley website and find the elves hiding in-store at Azendi, Bettys, Games Crusade, Go Outdoors, Greggs, Jigsaw, Joules, Lishman’s, Nicholsons Jewellers, The Secret Drawer, The Yorkshire Soap Company and Waltons Interiors during the evening.
Sarah Brookfield-Almond, Ilkley BID Manager, said:
“We’re really looking forward to this event and we’re delighted that so many shops and businesses are taking part and sharing the details with their customers. We hope lots of our local residents and visitors to the town support the event and make it a huge success so that it can become a regular feature in the town’s festive calendar”.
