Local businesses are getting on board to support Rise and Shine Ilkley - The Brilliant Breakfast this month, which is in support of the King’s Trust, helping young women to build a better future.
The event on Saturday 24th May between 8.30am and 11am at All Saints’ Church Hall on Church Street in Ilkley.
Organiser Emma Gannon said:
“We are hugely grateful for the support of Lishman’s of Ilkley, New Brook Street Deli, S&B’s of Otley, Taylors of Harrogate, La Stazione and Toast House who are donating goodies to the Brilliant Breakfast.
“If more local businesses would like to support the Brilliant Breakfast event, please get in touch with me at emma@tardisuk.com.”
The support of local businesses and the event organisers means that 100% of every donation to the Brilliant Breakfast will go directly to support the work of the King’s Trust to help young, disadvantaged women create better lives for themselves.
Emma adds:
“We hope Ilkley women will join us at All Saints’ Church on the morning of Saturday 24 May. It’s a great opportunity to come together, enjoy a delicious breakfast and raise funds to help disadvantaged young women gain new opportunities and build better lives for themselves.
“We’re asking for donations of £15 for breakfast which could, for example, contribute towards essential course materials for an aspiring young female entrepreneur, support training and equipment or even the cost of work clothes.
Of course, everyone is welcome to donate as much as they can. Drop into All Saints’ Church Hall between 8.30 am and 11.00 am – we’d love to see you.”
The support of Ilkley women will help girls like Shannon who struggled as a young mum to secure her dream role. After thriving on the King’s Trust Get into Healthcare programme, Shannon successfully acquired a job as a Healthcare Support Worker and is building the future she’s always dreamed of.
