Last weekend, Ilkley Swimming Club took a twenty strong team to the Harrogate Spa Town Gala, with young people ranging from 8 to 23 taking part.
The event on 20th and 21st April was held at Harrogate Leisure & Wellness Centre and Ilkley swimmers came away with 13 Golds, 21 Silvers and 13 Bronze medals across all age groups.
John Pegington, one of the team managers from the Ilkley Swimming Club said: “it was a great event and incredibly well run by Harrogate and District Swimming Club.
"The coaches and team managers are very proud of all of the swimmers who competed. Just getting on the starting blocks is a huge achievement in itself for some of our swimmers that should be celebrated.
"On top of that there was many personal bests and medals over the course of the weekend it really was a great success for all taking part."
