The owner of The Driving Academy in Menston has won a Gold award as Driving Instructor of the Year in the Yorkshire and Humber region, as well as being ranked fourth nationally.
This is the 2nd time Nicky Harris has won the Regional Award, as well as receiving the Highly Commended Award in other years in recognition of The Driving Academy’s hard work and dedication to its pupils.
The Intelligent Instructor Awards, established in 2019, is the most trusted and recognised awards that seek to recognise excellence within the driver training industry, rewarding key industry suppliers, regional and national driving schools, and individual driving instructors from across the country.
The Intelligent Instructor “Driving Instructor of the Year 2025” Awards look for outstanding instructors both regionally and nationally.
Nicky regular partakes in further training as she says “there is always something to learn”.
Over the years, Nicky has trained and helped many other Trainee Instructors to qualify with her high quality in-car training methods and online interactive workshops.
Nicky prides herself on the ethos of the driving school - where the instructors don’t just focus on test passes but more importantly creating safe, thinking drivers who will continue to drive safely and cope with the demands of modern day roads, long after they pass their test.
