A Neighbourhood Policing Team from West Yorkshire Police conducted speed watch operations around two Burley-in-Wharfedale schools this week.
A spokesperson for Shipley NPT said:
"Following concerns raised around speeding around two particular schools, officers conducted speed watch operations.
"On Wednesday 23rd October officers attended Station Road / Langford Road in Burley in Wharfedale along with a local councillor, after looking at the data it showed 85% of vehicles were travelling within the speed limit of 20mph, with the average speed on the road of 17mph.
"Further speed watch operations are planned for different locations across the ward areas."
