Otley music studio launches six-week daytime courses

Members of Woolpack Studios community groups.

A series of new daytime music courses is launching in Otley later this month, giving adults the chance to sing, play and meet new people.

Woolpack Studios is introducing three six-week courses from 28th July: Find Your Voice, Recorder Ensemble and Strum and Sing.

Designed to be relaxed and welcoming, the sessions are aimed at adults of all abilities, with no long-term commitment required.

Find Your Voice is open to anyone who enjoys singing, with no auditions, music reading or previous experience needed.

Strum and Sing is aimed at ukulele and guitar players looking to play familiar songs in a social setting, while Recorder Ensemble welcomes players with some experience who can read music.

Jennifer Pugh, co-founder of Woolpack Studios, said:

"Music has an incredible way of bringing people together, boosting confidence and improving wellbeing.

"We know there are lots of people who have always wanted to sing or play with others but have felt nervous about joining an established group.

"By running these as six-week courses, people can give something new a try without feeling they're signing up forever.

"Whether you've sung in the shower for years, haven't picked up your recorder since school or simply fancy dusting off your ukulele or guitar, we'd love to meet you."

Woolpack Studios has been part of Otley's community music scene since 2011, offering inclusive music groups, lessons and events for adults of all ages and abilities.
